Estava quase tendo um siricutico com os livros chegando e eu aqui, fazendo dieta de leitura. As férias chegaram e eu me rebelei! Vou até apontar uma culpada - Deise ô, dó!. Quem mandou ela me emprestar um livro na minha visita totalmente despretensiosa? Como eu poderia dizer "Não, obrigada". Ah, eu simplesmente não poderia! Agora que estou totalmente rebelde, chutando o balde, o pau da barraca e o que mais aparecer... lendo no computador, no ônibus, no carro, na cama Sim, na cama! Que pecado!, e a dieta desandou de vez, devo dizer que estou muito mais feliz! Com dor de cabeça hora sim, hora não, mas com o coração batendo alegre que é uma beleza!
Aqui está o co-responsável Vai ficar corresponsável? Porque assim parece com correspondência: Sisterchicks on the Loose! que não podia ser de outro autor, senão da Robin Jones Gunn. Pra quem já leu contando trinta e três livros de um mesmo autor, começa a ficar chato, porque ca-ham já virei especialista em Robin. Então devo dizer que o mais legal em Sisterchicks - e eu acho que isso acontece em toda a série - é que a 'fórmula' utilizada é totalmente nova. Até porque, não é um "romance romântico". É um chick-lit cujo tema é amizade.
Penny e Sharon combinam viajar quando todos os seus filhos terminarem a faculdade. Pra onde? Ora, pra Finlândia. Onde mais? haha A mãe da Penny era de lá, e ela faz essa longa viagem para encontrar seus únicos parentes vivos. Quem ama a Katie, ama a Penny. Quem ama a Cris, ama a Sharon. Quem ama a Robin, vai amar o livro. A menos que você só ame Ted's, Rick's etc. Os maridos são quase invisíveis na história, que como eu disse, é sobre amizade.
O livro que foi descrito como Deliciously fun! The feel-good book of the season (Deliciosamente engraçado! O livro mais gostoso de ler da temporada - tradução totalmente livre) tem uma história liiinda de chorar, mas também de morreeeer de rir! O final me deixou com vontade de ler mais. (Deise, se você estiver lendo, obrigada por me tirar da dieta e... você tem o Sisterchicks Do the Hula?)

I was almost freaking out with all the books coming here and there when I was kind of in a 'reading diet'. Finnaly on vacations, I totally rebelled! And I will tell you who is the guilty one - Deise poor Deise!. Why she had to borrow me a book when I desinterestly went to a visit? How could I say "No, thanks"? Oh, I just couldn't! Now that I'm a rebel, going bananas, apples, oranges and whatever fruit comes my way... reading on the computer, on the bus, in the car, in the bed Yes, in the bed! How bad!, and the diet is totally ruined, I should say I'm happy! Having headache now and then, but my heart is truly full of joy!
And here is the privy of this craziness: Sisterchicks on the Loose! that couldn't be from any other author but Robin Jones Gunn. Who read counting thirty-three books of the same author, it starts to be boring because, come on, I am quite a Robin-expert. So I should say that the coolest in Sisterchicks - and I think it happens in the whole Sisterchicks series - is that the 'formula' is entirely new. Especially because it's not a 'romantic romance'. It's a chick-lit which theme is 'friendship'.
Penny and Sharon settle a trip when all of their kids graduate. To where? Finland! Where else? haha It's the land of Penny's mom, and she goes on this long trip to meet her only living relatives. Who loves Katie Weldon, loves Penny Lane. Who loves Christy Miller, loves Sharon. Who loves Robin, loves the book. Unless you love only Todd's, Rick's etc. Husbands are almost invisible in the story, that, as I said, is all about friendship.
The book is described as 'Deliciously fun! The feel-good book of the season', has a beeeautiful cry your heart out story, and yet laugh out loud! The end let me with a want-more feeling. (Deise, if you're reading this, thanks for ruining my diet and... do you have Sisterchicks Do The Hula?)
