Quando eu estudava na Unioeste uma das coisas que eu mais gostava era do céu. O campus fica no cruzamento do meio do nada com o lugar nenhum, então o céu era totalmente livre da interferência de fiação, prédios, iluminação, exceto a da própria Unioeste. Eu chegava bem na hora do pôr do sol. Inspirador! Devo dizer agora que o sol nasce enquanto estou a caminho que o pôr do sol é bem mais confortável.

Assistir ao pôr do sol não lhe leva a refletir? Fala sério, tudo fica mais poético quando o céu exibe seus tons de laranja! Pode se lembrar de alguma cena inesquecível da sua vida ao pôr do sol? Ou você planeja tê-lo como seu cúmplice um dia? Poético, profundo, romântico, às vezes imprevisível! Assim é o pôr do sol, e agora não falo apenas da obra de Deus, mas também da obra da é, de novo Robin Jones Gunn.

Confesso que o livro demora a engatar. Não é que não tem graça até a metade. É que, sabendo que é um romance, eu quero ver o romance! E o romance demora, viu? Melhor você curtir o livro sem a expectativa do romance. De surpresa deve ser mais gostoso!

O quarto livro da série Glenbrooke apresenta as próximas personagens Sheron e Genevieve, e também nos dá notícias de Jessica e Kyle (meus preferidos pra sempre) e Lauren e... não, não vou contar! Ah, e tem também o Brad. Quem já sentiu o gostinho do humor do moço em Ecos sabe, o cara é ótimo.

Mas as minhas estatísticas mostram que esse é o livro mais esperado da série porque a personagem principal é Alissa, nossa velha conhecida lá dos tempos de Cris Miller. Aliás, acho que é por isso que o livro demora tanto a entrar no romance. Depois de tanto tempo sem aparecer, a Robin tem mesmo é que explicar o que aconteceu com Alissa nos últimos oito anos.

O meu destaque vai para a história paralela do livro. Diria que é uma história dentro da história, porque é a história quanta 'história' de Rosie e Chet que é contada para Alissa por eles mesmos e que é... uma gracinha, assim como esses dois velhinhos! Dá vontade de estar lá também!

É claro que uma mistura de Brad e Alissa só pode dar em uma comédia-romântica-dramática, que vocês podem comprar na Amazon ou no Ebay, mas em inglês. Ah, quase esqueci! Tem na loja da Robin também ;) Infelizmente Sunsets ainda não chamou a atenção das editoras nacionais. Mas quando eu tiver uma editora...

When I studied at Unioeste, one of the things I liked the most was the sky. The campus stays between nothing with Nowhere, so the sky was free of buildings, lights or mill interferences, except for the university itself. I arrived there at the sunset. Motivational! Now that I watch the rising of the sun when I'm on the way, I might say the sunset is way more confortable!

Watching the sunset doesn't leave you thinking? Come on, everything is more poetic when the sky exposes its orange shades! Can you remember an unforgettable scene of your life that took place at the sunset? Or do you plan to have it as your complice someday? Poetic, deep, romantic, sometimes unpredictable! So is Sunsets, and I'm not talking about God's work only, but also about the work of once again Robin Jones Gunn.

I must confess that the book takes a long time to hook. It's not that it's boring until half of it. It's just that, once I know it's a love story, I want to see the love story! And it takes too long to begin. It's better if you enjoy the book without any love expectation. The surprise might be more fun!

The fourth book on Glenbrooke series presents the next main characters of the series, Sheron and Genevieve, and it let us know about Jessica and Kyle (my favorite characters forever), Lauren and... no, I'm not telling you! Oh, there is Brad, too. Who tasted his humor in Echoes knows, the man is great.

But my statistcs reveal that this is the most expected book of the series because the main character is Alissa, our old acquaintance of Christy Miller series. And that might be why the book takes so long to enter in the romance field. After so long of her missing, Robin has to explain what happened to Alissa in the last eight years.

I can't renounce talking about the paralell story in the book. I would say it's a story inside the story, because it's the story how many 'story' of Rosie and Chet that is told to Alissa by themselves and it is... cute, just like this two oldies! It makes you wish to be there, too!

Of course a blend of Brad and Alissa only can turn into a romantic-dramatic-comedy, that you can buy on Amazon or Ebay. Oh, I almost forgot Robin's official store ;) Unfortunately there is no portuguese version of Sunsets, but when I own a publisher...
